Order up!

Hi again!

I received a GREAT early Christmas gift from my Nana and Oba who live in Colorado. (They're my grandmother and great-grandmother for those not keeping score. :-)

It's a kitchen set fully equiped with fridge, stove, oven, microwave and sink.

Here I am getting the spices ready to go.

Once my family put it together for me, I started right in and got to cooking!!

This is my dad's "Iron Chef" shot. "What spice is Chef Matthew adding to the octopus, Bob?" :-)

A BIG thank you to Nana & Oba. I really enjoying everyday and sharing the food with mom and dad.

On to Christmas.....!!!!

New Items

Hi!

Hope everyone is well. It has been a while since my last post so I'll use this one to catch up on a couple of things.

I've been taking a music class on Saturday mornings for the last couple of months. It's a lot of fun. I get to sing, dance and play different instruments like drums, shakers & tambourines. Because of that, my mom and dad got me a drum of my very own at home.

Here I am pounding away. (Notice the Beatles shirt!)

Normally, I play with both drum sticks but mom and dad got this shot of me playing a couple of weeks ago.

I'm enjoying my BMW too. No, not a 5-series
or anything. This BMW:

It gets me around the house okay. :-) Dad like to push me while I make the 'vroom, vroom!' sounds.

I may have a future in modeling, we'll see.
Here I am showing off my new winter coat. Don't you want to go out and buy one after seeing what a great time I'm having in mine?! :-)

I really like it. It's very comfortable and keeps me warm.

Well, that's all for now. I need to go do some last minute Christmas shopping. Where does the time go?!

See you all again soon!

We found Nemo!

I dressed up as Nemo for Halloween this year and had a great time trick-or-treating with my friend Christopher. Pictures of us together will come later, but, in the meantime, here are some shots of me after a long night gathering candy. :-)

Like my tail?

I even got my very own mini pumpkin!

We had a backup costume too....
It was a fun week leading up to Halloween and a great night on Sunday.
Can't wait for next year!

At the pumpkin patch

My friend Christopher and I visitied the local pumpkin patch last week in preparation for halloween.

It does take a little getting used to all of that orange! :-)

We had a great time picking out pumpkins. We took a break to share our favorite snack - Puffs.
Here's Christopher playing keep-away with me.

Now I'm looking forward to carving the pumpkins!!
Happy Fall everyone!
Love,
Matthew

I'm a year old!!

Yeah! I turned 1 on Sunday, September 5th!! (I can't believe this blog is a year old already. ;-)

Here's I am with mom and dad blowing out the candle on my cake.

I want to thank everyone who attended the party! I had great time seeing everyone and celebrating my first year.

Thanks to Esperenza for loaning us the yard and all of my family members who helped decorate!
Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts. I'm looking forward to playing with each of them.

But first, I'm off to Seattle to visit my Uncle John, Aunt Tammy and cousin Nichole! Can't wait to see you and visit the great northwest.

Here's to another great year!

11 months!!

I turned 11 months old this past week! Only one more month to go before my 1st birthday! :-)

I'm getting bigger and bigger. I can crawl at super-fast speeds - but mommy and daddy still manage to catch me. I like pulling myself up on chairs and short furnature so I can streach my legs. :-) I'll be walking in no time!

I'm saying more words now. I like saying,"uh oh" when I drop my toys on the floor - usually on purpose. :-) The other day, there was a song on the radio that included "uh oh" in the lyrics so I sang along. I think I surprised mommy. :-)

I say, "doo" when pointing to my dogs Stewie and London. I have a hard time saying Stewie, so I just call him, "E" for now.

I also say, "Night, night" when it's time to take a nap or go to bed at night. I'll include a wave too, just to be polite.

I enjoy all of the food mommy and daddy make for me. I especially love butter nut squash! I'm starting to eat some of mommy and daddy's food -but only in little bites. I like it and can't wait to try more.

Lots of love to everyone!

10 months!!

Who said I could be 10 months old already?! :-)

Time is just flying by! I'm getting bigger - I'm able to crawl very fast and am pulling myself up on different furnature around the house in order to stand. Not walking yet, but that will happen soon.

I had my first taste of ice cream yesterday on Independence Day. I also had a great time with my friend Christopher watching the parade in Westchester.
There were lots of cars, bands, horses and fire trucks!
Thanks to Christopher and his mom for having us over. We had a great time!
Love to all!

First Plane Ride!

I took my first plane ride over the Memorial Day holiday weekend! Mom, dad and I flew from Los Angeles to Denver, CO then drove up to Ft. Collins to visit family - including my great grandmother!
I was well behaved on the flight to Denver - at least, that's what mom and dad keep telling everyone. I met some nice people and was all excited about the experience.
We stayed one night in Denver before getting up the next day and going to the Denver Zoo.

Here's dad and me at the zoo with some lions in the background. Both mom and dad prepared me for this visit by showing me some of the animals on their iPhones. Those things are cool - except I can help but want to chew on them. :-)

Here we are with the mountain goats.

After the zoo, we drove up to Ft. Collins and got settled in the loft we rented for the weekend. It was located in the historic part of Ft. Collins with lots of shops and restaurants near by.

I had a great time meeting family memebers over the course of the weekend.

Here we are with my nana and great grandmother, Oba, at the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Their chicken and dumplings were good!

The next day, we visited my first cousins twice removed Jan and Jerry's house for a BBQ. (Don't ask me how I figured that out!) I also met Sebastian, my third cousin, who is one month, to the day, older then me. We had fun playing and enjoyed some yummy burgers and hot dogs!

On Memorial Day, we took a drive to Estes Park, CO which is a beautiful resort town about an hour and a half west of Ft. Collins. I could see myself having lots of fun here when I'm older - both in the summer and winter!

Here we are on top of a hill after riding the tram up. I say "hill" but, remember, we were now at 8,600 feet having come up from 7,500 feet in Estes Park.
I saw an elk on the way up the hill and chimpmunks at the top. The view was great from up there and you see the snow in the mountains off in the distance.
The next day, we drove back to Denver to catch the plane home. Mom and dad said I was a good boy on that flight too, so I guess I did okay on my first big trip.
That makes two states I've been to - only 48 more to go!! :-)

Christopher's Birthday Party!

Hi everyone!

I had a great weekend last week. How good was it? Well, it's Wednesday and I've finally recovered enough to blog to about it. ;-)

Went to my first birthday party. It was for my friend Christopher who turned 1 year old last week.

Here I am at the party with mom and dad. I know I don't look happy, but I DID have a great time. In fact, mom tried to take my had off during lunch but I wouldn't let her.

Christopher's mom & dad, Virginia and Derek, did a WONDERFUL job in putting the party together! Great job you two! The back yard was decorated with balloons and there was yummy Italian food for the adults that I got to enjoy later.

I made some new friends - hi Jacob! - and hope to see them again soon so we can get to know each other more.

Here's a picture of me and mommy hanging out on the lawn playing with my noise maker.

Thanks again for Christopher for inviting me to his party. Next time, the drinks are on me! ;-)

8 months!

Hi everyone!
A lot has happened in the last month. I've gotten bigger (over 17 lbs) and, just after Easter, I started crawling. :-) Mom and dad are having a great time chasing me around the parts of the house I can get to!
I've moved into a mini-crib so I have more room to streatch out when I go to sleep. Speaking of which, I've decided to give mom and dad a little rest by sleeping through the night - but only on a few occasions. I'm a growing boy and have found I need my rest too so it works out well for everyone.

Mom and dad enrolled me into a swim class at the local community college. I enjoy the water, I just wish it was as warm as my baths. Look out Michael Phelps - I'm going to be breaking your Olympic records in no time!

An early happy Mother's day to all you moms out there. Especially my beautiful mom! :-)

Here's what happens after the photoshot ends! :-)

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter.

I have to give my mom props for dressing me so well today. I received TONS of complements on my outfit - especially my hat. People LOVED it! Thanks Mom!

Here are some photos of me and my folks.

Happy Easter everyone! :-)

This whole "Life" thing is amazing. One minute I'm in the hospital then, suddenly, it's six months later and I'm eating rice cereal and playing with blocks! Well, I've enjoyed life so far. I have great parents, two dogs and lots of other family and new friends who love me. What else can you ask for?!

My New Chair

Hi everyone.

Can you believe it's already February?! Where did January go?! Time flies when you're 21 weeks old, let me tell ya.

Anyway, mom and dad got me this great new chair for me. As you can see, I really like it.

Of course, as soon as I'm in the chair, I want to get out, but I stayed in long enough for dad to take some photo. :-)

Thanks for reading...
