We found Nemo!

I dressed up as Nemo for Halloween this year and had a great time trick-or-treating with my friend Christopher. Pictures of us together will come later, but, in the meantime, here are some shots of me after a long night gathering candy. :-)

Like my tail?

I even got my very own mini pumpkin!

We had a backup costume too....
It was a fun week leading up to Halloween and a great night on Sunday.
Can't wait for next year!

At the pumpkin patch

My friend Christopher and I visitied the local pumpkin patch last week in preparation for halloween.

It does take a little getting used to all of that orange! :-)

We had a great time picking out pumpkins. We took a break to share our favorite snack - Puffs.
Here's Christopher playing keep-away with me.

Now I'm looking forward to carving the pumpkins!!
Happy Fall everyone!
Love,
Matthew

I'm a year old!!

Yeah! I turned 1 on Sunday, September 5th!! (I can't believe this blog is a year old already. ;-)

Here's I am with mom and dad blowing out the candle on my cake.

I want to thank everyone who attended the party! I had great time seeing everyone and celebrating my first year.

Thanks to Esperenza for loaning us the yard and all of my family members who helped decorate!
Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts. I'm looking forward to playing with each of them.

But first, I'm off to Seattle to visit my Uncle John, Aunt Tammy and cousin Nichole! Can't wait to see you and visit the great northwest.

Here's to another great year!

Love,

Matthew

11 months!!

I turned 11 months old this past week! Only one more month to go before my 1st birthday! :-)

I'm getting bigger and bigger. I can crawl at super-fast speeds - but mommy and daddy still manage to catch me. I like pulling myself up on chairs and short furnature so I can streach my legs. :-) I'll be walking in no time!

I'm saying more words now. I like saying,"uh oh" when I drop my toys on the floor - usually on purpose. :-) The other day, there was a song on the radio that included "uh oh" in the lyrics so I sang along. I think I surprised mommy. :-)

I say, "doo" when pointing to my dogs Stewie and London. I have a hard time saying Stewie, so I just call him, "E" for now.

I also say, "Night, night" when it's time to take a nap or go to bed at night. I'll include a wave too, just to be polite.

I enjoy all of the food mommy and daddy make for me. I especially love butter nut squash! I'm starting to eat some of mommy and daddy's food -but only in little bites. I like it and can't wait to try more.

Lots of love to everyone!

10 months!!

Who said I could be 10 months old already?! :-)

Time is just flying by! I'm getting bigger - I'm able to crawl very fast and am pulling myself up on different furnature around the house in order to stand. Not walking yet, but that will happen soon.

I had my first taste of ice cream yesterday on Independence Day. I also had a great time with my friend Christopher watching the parade in Westchester.
There were lots of cars, bands, horses and fire trucks!
Thanks to Christopher and his mom for having us over. We had a great time!
Love to all!

Happy Father's Day!

A happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

This morning, I helped make breakfast for my dad.

We had scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and biscuits. Yum yum!!

Here's a little something I made for my dad at day care:

First Plane Ride!

I took my first plane ride over the Memorial Day holiday weekend! Mom, dad and I flew from Los Angeles to Denver, CO then drove up to Ft. Collins to visit family - including my great grandmother!
I was well behaved on the flight to Denver - at least, that's what mom and dad keep telling everyone. I met some nice people and was all excited about the experience.
We stayed one night in Denver before getting up the next day and going to the Denver Zoo.

Here's dad and me at the zoo with some lions in the background. Both mom and dad prepared me for this visit by showing me some of the animals on their iPhones. Those things are cool - except I can help but want to chew on them. :-)

Here we are with the mountain goats.

After the zoo, we drove up to Ft. Collins and got settled in the loft we rented for the weekend. It was located in the historic part of Ft. Collins with lots of shops and restaurants near by.

I had a great time meeting family memebers over the course of the weekend.

Here we are with my nana and great grandmother, Oba, at the Cracker Barrel restaurant. Their chicken and dumplings were good!

The next day, we visited my first cousins twice removed Jan and Jerry's house for a BBQ. (Don't ask me how I figured that out!) I also met Sebastian, my third cousin, who is one month, to the day, older then me. We had fun playing and enjoyed some yummy burgers and hot dogs!

On Memorial Day, we took a drive to Estes Park, CO which is a beautiful resort town about an hour and a half west of Ft. Collins. I could see myself having lots of fun here when I'm older - both in the summer and winter!

Here we are on top of a hill after riding the tram up. I say "hill" but, remember, we were now at 8,600 feet having come up from 7,500 feet in Estes Park.
I saw an elk on the way up the hill and chimpmunks at the top. The view was great from up there and you see the snow in the mountains off in the distance.
The next day, we drove back to Denver to catch the plane home. Mom and dad said I was a good boy on that flight too, so I guess I did okay on my first big trip.
That makes two states I've been to - only 48 more to go!! :-)
